Town of Melrose

Greeting you at the tip of the Bonavista Peninsula is Melrose. Located right off Route 230, Melrose is a beautiful rural Newfoundland community, which relied heavily upon the fishery for its way of life.

The main road through Melrose runs parallel to the sea line and most of the homes are situated on the upper side of the road. Formerly called Ragged Harbour, Melrose is not only a picturesque seaside community, but they also have some of the friendliest people on the Peninsula. It is a tight-knit community - almost like a big family, but don't worry, visitors are always welcome!
